Researcher for China

Position Objective:

To conduct research projects in order to help promote the goals of the organization in China

Term of Employment:

Full-time

Reports to:

Vice President

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Ensure factual accuracy and sourcing for a variety of projects related to PETA Asia’s campaign work in China
  • Obtain the necessary data for reports, leaflets, government comments, and other types of correspondence
  • Prepare analyses for review
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications:

  • Thorough knowledge of animal rights issues
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct in-depth research
  • Demonstrated exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese
  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to handle many issues simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Adherence to a healthy vegan lifestyle
  • Demonstrated support for PETA’s philosophy and the ability to advocate professionally for PETA’s positions on issues
  • Commitment to the objectives of the organization
