Recipe: Trail Mix

Trail mix is a versatile snack: It’s ideal for travel, to munch on during long days at the office, and to take on hikes. There is a lot of room for creativity—so many ingredients work well together. Here is a suggestion for a mix to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Trail Mix

Raw almonds
Dried cherries
Salted pretzels, broken into 1/2-in. pieces
Toasted macadamia nuts
Dried mangos, cut into small pieces
Dried sweet coconut
Vegan chocolate chips
Raisins

Optional: dried pineapple, dried banana chips, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, dried dates, or toasted oats

  • Combine equal parts of the above ingredients, and you’re good to go. Quick and easy!

Variation: Add chili flakes to spice it up!
