Adopt! Don’t Shop: Praya Lundberg Launches Angel for Animals Ad in New PETA Campaign
Bangkok — Today, Praya Lundberg unveiled PETA’s latest ad at a crowded press conference. Wearing a pair of beautiful iridescent angel wings and cradling her beloved adopted dog, Pirate Arthur, the ad states “Be an Angel for Animals. Adopt, Don’t Shop”. The White Lotus actress—who has three other rescued dogs in her family—is reminding everyone to spay and neuter their companion animals and to always adopt, never shop. Captured by renowned photographer Jeaneen Lund, with hair by expert stylist Ruslan Nereev and makeup by the talented Danny Thai, the striking ad highlights the importance of giving animals in need a second chance.

“There’s no such thing as being ethical when it comes to selling or buying a life. Go look at what puppy mills look like, what breeders do. It’s awful. We wouldn’t want to be in a cage or forced to breed. So don’t support this horrible industry,” says Lundberg in an accompanying video spot. “When I adopted Pirate Arthur, he changed my life. I highly, highly recommend the adoption experience.”
Tens of thousands of animals are homeless in Thailand. Many are born in the streets, while others have been abandoned by their human guardians. Dogs and cats who are forced to live outdoors may be hit by cars, infected with diseases, or hurt by cruel people—and leaving them to reproduce makes the homeless-animal crisis worse.
“There’s so many little puppies, like Pirate Arthur, out there who need your love today,” concludes Lundberg. “We have to spay and neuter our animals. It’s our responsibility.”
PETA—whose motto reads, in part, that “animals are not ours to abuse in any way”—points out that Every Animal Is Someone. For more information, please visit PETAAsia.com or follow the group on XFacebook, or Instagram.
