It’s easy to see why Imogen Bailey—the supermodel-turned-singer and star of Celebrity Survivor and Celebrity Big Brother—is considered to be Australia’s sexiest woman. Now, thanks to a new PETA Asia-Pacific ad, she has wings to match her angelic good looks! Scantily dressed in all white, Imogen shows off a pair of angel’s wings as she strikes a provocative pose alongside the tagline “Earn Your Wings. Don’t Wear Fur.”
This isn’t the first time that Imogen has been an angel for animals; she is an avid fur foe who wants to bring attention to the hell that animals endure when they are trapped and raised for their fur. In fact, this super-compassionate supermodel has made a habit of teaming up with PETA to fight against animal abuse.
Just recently, Imogen joined PETA’s campaign to protest against the Bull Riding World Cup on the Gold Coast. Among other stunts, Imogen—along with her sidekick, all-time favourite Big Brother housemate Sara-Marie Fedele—fired off a letter to the sponsors of the event urging them to pull their sponsorship immediately, which prompted Japanese watchmaker Casio to do just that. In Queensland, Imogen and PETA Asia-Pacific staff held two public outreach events and collected signatures on a giant petition asking sponsors of the World Cup to stop supporting cruelty to animals. And as if that weren’t enough, Imogen then shot an anti-rodeo ad for PETA in which she wore a sexy black dress and posed seductively on bales of straw under the tagline “No One Likes an Eight-Second Ride.”
An expert at bringing awareness of animal rights to millions of people through attention-grabbing ads, Imogen also cuddled up with a rabbit for PETA’s “Hands Off the Buns” anti-fur ad, which was released in Europe, Korea, Hong Kong, and Australia and garnered more media attention than we could keep track of! And in a shocking ad that protested against the barbaric methods used to “break” Thai baby elephants in order to train them to give rides to tourists, Imogen is shown crouching and shackled with red welts across her back under the words “Shackled, Beaten, Abused. Don’t Support Thai Elephant Cruelty!” Always willing to bare her skin to save animals’ skins, Imogen also lent her voice to PETA’s campaign against the use of real bear fur in the hats worn by The Queen’s Guards by showing up naked at Buckingham Palace, wearing only a sign reading, “Bare Skin, Not Bear Skin!”
PETA US was proud to acknowledge Imogen’s commitment to defending the rights of animals by presenting her with an International Humanitarian Award at the group’s 25th anniversary gala at Paramount Studios in Hollywood. The event was attended by Alec Baldwin, Lady Heather Mills, Jamie Lee Curtis, Andy Dick, Dennis Rodman, and Pamela Anderson.
