Lebanon Welcomes First Vegan Support Center in the Middle East

Posted on by PETA

The first animal rights and vegan support center in the Middle East is now open in Lebanon! The Lebanese Vegans Social Hub will run animal rights campaigns, distribute free vegan food, hold workshops, screen documentaries, and have a vegan café, shop, and co-working area, promoting vegan living and animal rights in the region.

In the wake of the devastating explosion that hit Beirut in August 2020, animal rights activist Seb Alex and the group Lebanese Vegans distributed vegan food boxes and meals to more than 2000 families who had been made homeless overnight.

The space they used to prepare the food has now been transformed into the vegan support center.

The Lebanese Vegans Social Hub will play an important role in raising awareness of animal rights issues in the Middle East. If you’d like to support this project, please click here.

The easiest way to help animals is to leave them off your plate! If you haven’t already gone vegan, now is the time to start.
