PETA’s 2025 Vegan Nice Cream Awards Celebrate Malaysian Favorites

A total of four companies in Malaysia are included in the 2025 Vegan Nice Cream Awards. These companies, responding to modern tastes and the increased interest in and demand for vegan ice cream, have launched 100% plant based scoops for Malaysians to beat the tropical heat. Here are the winners:

Inside Scoop offers non-dairy Crunchy Chocolate Sorbet along with other vegan options that rotate seasonally, including Mango Sorbet, Passionfruit Sorbet, Nutty Banana Sorbet, Genmaicha Sorbet, Cacaonut Sorbet and Raspberry Sorbet.


Kind Kones is a fully vegan shop that offers handcrafted, dairy-free ice cream in creative flavors, including Pandan Gula Melaka, Saffron Pistachio, Chili Chocolate and Charcoal Vanilla.

Kelava is a fully vegan shop that offers handcrafted, dairy-free ice cream made from coconut milk in creative flavors, including Onde-onde, Salted Gula Melaka, Rose Bandung, Pengat Durian and Limau Asam Boi.


Licky Chan offers both boozy and alcohol-free ice cream, sorbet and soft-serve with vegan flavours that include Avocado Cartel, Piña Colada, Midnight in Kyoto, Lost in Translation and Chocolate Concierge.

The global vegan ice cream market is expected to grow by more than $1.5 billion by 2026 as more consumers opt for desserts that leave mother cows and their calves in peace, are free of saturated animal fat and cholesterol, and whose production generates fewer greenhouse gas emissions.
