BOSS Launches Its First ‘PETA-Approved Vegan’ Suit

HUGO BOSS has proved that compassionate fashion can successfully combine style and quality: After discussions with PETA Germany about wool-free fashion, the brand has now launched its first vegan BOSS men’s suit, certified and sporting the “PETA-Approved Vegan” logo.

Cruelty-Free Men’s Fashion

Most premium suits are made of animal-derived materials like wool, horsehair, or silk—all of which are associated with animal suffering. Dyes, glues, and chemicals in clothing can also be animal-derived.

The HUGO BOSS design team made sure that it created the new vegan men’s suit with exclusively vegan materials. It is made of certified organic European linen and is available both online and in stores in beige, dark blue, and black. This wool-free suit saves sheep, who are social animals who make connections and can recognize their friends’ faces from just a photograph.

What Is the ‘PETA-Approved Vegan’ Logo?

We offer companies this logo for their products if they and their suppliers can provide assurance that no animal-derived ingredients were used for the final product or during the production process, and after verifying the details, we certified the new vegan BOSS suit. We use our expertise to support companies in designing cruelty-free fashion and to help consumers find fashionable vegan clothing.

What You Can Do

  • Remember animals when you shop, and choose vegan clothing—free of wool, leather, silk, down, and fur.
  • Look for clothing items that carry our “PETA-Approved Vegan” (PAV) logo.
