15 Million–IDR Reward Offered to Find Dog Killer Caught on Video
Mataram, Lombok — PETA is offering a reward of Rp 15 million for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a man who killed a dog and was caught on video viciously beating him with a wooden pole.
On May 7, shortly after midnight at 12:26 a.m., surveillance cameras caught a man swinging a large stick over his head and repeatedly slamming it down on a dog named Reno on Bung Karno Street before yanking the still-conscious animal away by the legs. According to the Reno’s guardian, the man then dragged him from the back of a black Honda Vixion motorcycle driven by another male. The guardian chased after the bike, and after about 100 meters, the culprit let go of Reno, who died shortly thereafter. The footage shows that the attacker—who has a slim build and tan skin—wore a white long-sleeve shirt, dark shorts, and a gray-and-navy baseball cap.
The dog’s guardian has filed a report with the police, but authorities have not followed up. PETA is asking for help from the public in order to help ensure that the perpetrators are brought to justice. Would you please share this information with your audience? It may mean a break in the case.
“This man struck a vulnerable dog over and over with a pole before dragging the battered animal down the street from a motorcycle,” says PETA Vice President Jason Baker. “PETA urges anyone with information to come forward so that the attacker will face consequences for this sadistic killing.”
Tipsters should contact +62 878-1100-7070 (Dhany) on WhatsApp.
