Meet the 2014 Sexiest Vegetarian Celebrity Winners!
Trương Thị May and Wu Xiubo have been named Asia’s Sexiest Vegetarian Celebrities, while Sia has won the Australian competition. See the list of nominees and live as the stars do by taking take the Pledge to Be Veg for 30 Days!
Trương Thị May represented Vietnam at the Miss Universe 2013 pageant. Before that, she was first runner-up in the Miss Vietnam Ethnicity 2007 and Miss Vietnam Photogenic 2006 pageants.
“Vegetarian foods are natural and pure, easy to digest, and bring a sense of peace and relaxation to the meal,” says Trương. “Being a vegetarian helps me to avoid all the cholesterol, my hair and skin are a lot healthier, and I feel younger. It also teaches me compassion toward animals by not killing them for food.”
Wu Xiubo is most widely known for his role in the movie Finding Mr. Right and in the TV series Before the Dawn, for which he has won many awards, including the Most Popular Actor and Best Actor titles at the China TV Golden Eagle Awards. Currently one of the highest-paid actors in China, he also starred in Marriage & Lawyers and A Civic Yuppie in Countryside.
Sia—a dedicated vegan who shares her home with several adopted dogs—topped the charts this year with her single “Chandelier,” which reached the number eight spot on the BillboardHot 100 chart.
Other popular contenders in the poll include Australian swimsuit models Renee Somerfield, Ellie Gonsalves, and Sheridyn Fisher; musicians Faye Wong, Hà Okio, and Khalil Fong; model-turned-Hollywood hottie Maggie Q; Filipina beauty queen Mary Jean Lastimosa; and actors Abbie Cornish and Sophie Monk.
