Fukushima Farmed Animals Get Help

The Japanese Cabinet officially announced that the prime minister has ordered the Fukushima governor to euthanize all the farmed animals in the 20 km “no-go” zone. As sad as it is, the animals—many who have been without adequate food since the earthquake and tsunami in March—will finally be granted a peaceful end to their suffering.

Shocking images from the affected areas show dead farmed animals and some who had been cannibalized by others.
