Sportswear Mogul Turns Vigilante for Animal Rights!

Posted on by Ashley Fruno

Frustrated by the lack of regulation of animals languishing on factory farms, the founder of the Kathmandu outdoor clothing retail chain has decided that enough’s enough! Plunging $5 million from her own personal fortune into the creation of an Animal Justice Fund in her native Australia, Jan Cameron has created a project that will feature a variety of tactics to help address cruelty to animals. The fund will pay upwards of $30,000 for factory farm whistleblowers and other insiders willing to reveal the truth about how meat is produced. Wow!

This true-blue Aussie heroine, who’s described local laws protecting animals as a “joke,” is hoping that her fund will call attention to the nearly half a billion lambs, chickens, cows, and other animals who are raised in cruel conditions—in ways that would be illegal if they were cats or dogs—and barbarically slaughtered for their flesh.

You don’t have to start your own fund to follow Cameron’s heroic example! Going vegan is the easiest, and most important, step that anyone can take for animals. Take our Pledge to Go Veg and help stop cruelty to animals today!
