Get Active for Animals From Home

Rebecca ChuiWant to help animals? Being a superhero for animals doesn’t mean that you have to be a “Lettuce Lady” or that you have to pound the pavement in a chicken costume. Along with your everyday activism, PETA is always looking for people for our Volunteer Writers Network.

By joining our Writers Network, you can help animals with the power of a pen—or more likely your computer. As a member, you will have the opportunity to write letters to newspapers, magazines, legislators, and businesses—all in order to be a voice for animals. A single letter written by you has the potential to reach thousands of people if it’s published in a newspaper or magazine and may even inspire changes to animal-related legislation or business practices!

So you’re ready to help animals and have your voice heard? The following is what you need to do to join our awesome group of volunteer writers:

  • Send an e-mail to [email protected].
  • Make sure that the e-mail includes your full name, address, country, and phone number.
  • Along with your personal details, let us know if you have any degrees or expertise in a particular field. From time to time, we ask people to write letters on certain subjects or regarding certain issues, so this information can help us when we need to do that.

You don’t have to be a great writer to be a part of our Volunteer Writers Network—you just have to care about animals. For more ways that you can help animals every day, take a look at these ways to get active!
